Concord-Carlisle Adult & Community Education (CCACE) In partnership with Reclaim Our Democracy Featuring CISWH Director Tami Gouveia, Archon Fung, and John W. Ballentine, Jr.
As part of the Can We Talk civic engagement series, Dr. Tami Gouveia, director of the Center for Innovation in Social Work & Health (CISWH) at BU School of Social Work (BUSSW), will explore the state of democracy and how communities can rebuild trust, connection and civic strength in an interactive panel discussion.
Dr. Gouveia and fellow panelists Archon Fung and John W. Ballentine, Jr. will share both global and local perspectives on the current political landscape. Participants will then join small-group breakout discussions to reflect, exchange ideas, and collectively envision solutions. Inspired by the civic legacies of famed Concord residents Thoreau, Alcott and Emerson, this event encourages
