We encourage Boston University faculty with an interest in health, social work, and social justice to become involved with the Center as a faculty affiliate.
CISWH faculty affiliates represent a broad range of schools, departments, centers, institutions, and programs across BU, and provide leadership for the Center’s transdisciplinary work, including outcomes-oriented research, community partnerships, policy development, and education and training activities. Affiliates can be tenured/tenure-track faculty, non-tenured faculty, adjunct faculty, or lecturers.
We encourage students enrolled at BU School of Social Work and/or School of Public Health with an interest in health and social justice to apply for research fellow positions at CISWH. Opportunities vary by semester and will be posted here when available.
Research fellows assist with a variety of tasks, including leading literature reviews, managing data, and conducting interviews. Fellows are paid $15 per hour. Please view our list of current projects and mission for an introduction to our work.
If no positions are currently posted, please contact Madi Wachman at [email protected] and describe your areas of interest. CISWH will notify you of upcoming opportunities.
We also encourage students to attend our speaker series events, which focus on a range of topics at the intersection of health, social work, and and social justice. CISWH welcomes student input for events. If you have an idea for an event, please email [email protected].
