Results from a randomized control trial–As part of the Minority AIDS Initiative Retention and Re-Engagement in HIV Care Project, CAHPP staff evaluated the effectiveness of a peer-enhanced intervention at three clinic locations. They presented their findings at the Ryan White 2016 conference. Staff from partner Brooklyn PATH Center presented about their experience implementing the intervention and incorporating it into their clinic practice.

Peer Re-Engagement Project Enhanced Peer Intervention Manual, Teaming with Peers to Engage and Retain Hard-to-Reach Populations in Care: This manual describes the process created and refined to link and re-engage people living with HIV/AIDS (PLWHA) of color in HIV primary care. It documents the intervention that was developed and implemented at three sites and provides a framework for future implementation of this model of an enhanced peer intervention. The appendices include sample work plan, job descriptions and other tools used in the intervention.

This five-day curriculum provides training materials and instructions train HIV-positive peers to support patients with care and treatment in your community. It was developed as part of the Peer Re-Engagement Project (PREP) evaluating a program that brings HIV-positive peers into the HIV care team to support patients who have fallen out of care or who are newly diagnosed with HIV and at risk of falling out of care.
